Have you ever tried to eat just one strawberry? On that hot summer afternoon when you wash that bowl of cold, juicy wonderful, there is no way to stop at one bite. I am about to make it even harder to stop eating those strawberries the next time you pick up a whole flat at the stand. Here are just some of the benefits you can claim when you next sink your teeth into that delicious goodness, since one strawberry alone gives you: more vitamin C than an orange (meet your whole … Continue reading →

The post Power of a bite appeared first on Kenny's Strawberry Farm.

You might be wondering who this voice is that is speaking to you from this blog. In a nutshell I am Stephanie, sister-in-law to Farmer Kenny and sister to Farmer Amanda. I currently live in Porvenir, Mexico (another farming community) but in the summer work at Kenny’s Strawberry Farm and eat enough sweet off-the-vine strawberries to make me a strawberry snob. Now, I just can’t bring myself to buy any berry that is not completely ready to be popped in my mouth. I will be trying to blog about a … Continue reading →

The post Meet the author of our strawberry blog! appeared first on Kenny's Strawberry Farm.

Getting Picky Pun intended? One of the best parts of the berry season is getting to personally pick each strawberry from the vine. The ability to be picky isn’t freely given very often and for someone like me, who is super picky with food, this ability is exhilarating. I think the same goes for Rodolfo, one of the strawberry gurus at Kenny’s Strawberry Farm.
